Clinical Bodywork
The Bodywork and Personal Neuro Posture services performed in this practice is more accurately described as manual therapy as many clinical and therapeutic techniques are used to treat acute and chronic muscle and soft tissue strain patterns and posture issues due to improper muscle balances. This can often be accomplished remaining clothed as many manual therapeutic techniques do not require removal of clothing. The goals of manual therapy include assisting in the rehabilitation and prevention of muscle and soft tissue dysfunction. The basis for use of any and all of the techniques used in manual therapy is an accurate assessment of posture and gait and the documentation and charting of the results from session to session. The benefits of this approach results in: Identifying sources of improper muscle balance and tone. Restoring functional range of motion and flexibility. Improving Symmetry in muscle and soft tissues and restoring bio-mechanical “whole body” balance. Evaluating and improving gait (walking patterns). Client self care recommendations stress management, strength and endurance programs (Corrective Exercise movement Coaching). Many manual therapy and energetic techniques are available as tools to accomplish the above. A partial list include:Posturology Assessment and Charting (Also available with high quality Professional Report for separate fee, which can be givien to other health care providers to support other therapies).

Isometric Strength & Stretch Classes
What are the Benefits of the Program?
The class is designed to teach people how muscle and soft tissue imbalances impact their bodies to effect efficient movement of their bodies irrespective of occupation, age, sport or athletic activity. It can become the baseline program upon which all other exercise programs are based upon.
The program can be especially beneficial to high school and college athletes that have a strong desire to “get to the next level”. The Isometric Strength and Stretch Classes build awareness and education on the need for Strong and Stable Posture for efficient movement and improved quality of life.
Rationale:
Most people are unaware of basic construction of the human body, how it is designed to move, and the warning signs to movement problems; be it balance, pain, restricted range of motion or total loss of use issues. These classes will not only teach you how to move more functionally but give you a set of movement principles that you can use for life. Movement Coaching - Private
My services are designed educate clients on Posture Principles and how to move effectively. This includes whether you are in acute or chronic phases of any muscular skeletal injury, have poor movement patterns, are an amateur or professional sports athlete, dancer, or martial artist, etc. While treating your musculoskeletal pain syndromes, posture and movement habits, we will simultaneously evaluate lifestyle situations including but not limited to, ergonomic conditions at work, sleeping patterns, sitting patterns, use of digital devices, recreational activities, all past physical and emotional traumas , which have occurred up to that point.
So if you are currently dealing with an acute and chronic condition, and ready to do more than just passive therapies, book a session online at the link below or to the left, and begin to "Transform your life".

Brain-Based Movement
Brain-based movement therapies" refer to therapeutic approaches that leverage movement exercises to directly influence brain function, aiming to improve motor skills, cognitive abilities, and overall well-being by targeting neural pathways and connections within the brain through specific movement patterns; examples include practices like Dance/Movement Therapy, Primitive Reflex Integration, and specialized rehabilitation programs that incorporate neuro-motor principles to address conditions like stroke or developmental delays.
Key aspects of brain-based movement therapies:Neuroscience foundation:These therapies are based on an understanding of how the brain controls movement and can be rewired through targeted exercises.Movement as a tool for brain change:By engaging in specific movements, the brain can be stimulated to create new neural connections or strengthen existing ones.Focus on sensory integration:Many brain-based movement therapies incorporate sensory input (touch, sight, sound) to enhance the brain's ability to process information.Individualized approach:Therapists tailor movement exercises based on an individual's specific needs and neurological challenges.
Cupping/Gua Sha
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. The cups create a negative pressure on the body drawing toxins and metabolic waste from the soft tissue structure, creating a number of benefits including improved circulation, immune functions, improving flexibility, and promoting overall well being.
The cups may be made of:
